Dr. John Cherry has made his home in Brandon since 1969, and chose to continue his life here, after graduating from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1985.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association and the Hillsborough County Dental Association. He has completed additional, rigorous training in advanced dentistry at the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne and has received certificates from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (conscious sedation) and the Midwest Implant Institute (implant surgery).

Dr. Cherry is one of few dental practitioners in the area to offer conscious sedation dentistry, a method where patients can have years of dental procedures done in just a few sittings with virtually no pain or anxiety. Conscious sedation dentistry allows even the most fearful patients to relax and realize the full potential of their smile. Dr. Cherry maintains his membership in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology in order to provide the most current, effective, and safe conscious sedation services possible.

In recognition of his excellent service to his patients, Dr. Cherry was selected by his peers as a topDentist™ for the Tampa Bay area in 2007.
